Election flyers needed to be collected - Heidi1 - 30-07-2010 Hey all The National Library collects all political ephemera (flyers) from elections and they go into the National Collection to be kept for generations to come. The Library needs your help to collect these mountains of paper. When you are voting (AND BLOODY WELL DO IT), if you could collect flyers from each of the parties there and send it to us, that would be TOPS! Can you IMAGINE how excited the people would get until they realised you were taking one of everything???? We can't get out to remote places where some of the busa club live, so this would make a huge difference to the collection. Even if you aren't THAT remote, collect it and send it in anyway. Here is the page http://www.nla.gov.au/collect/elections.html Thanks. RE: Election flyers needed to be collected - simmo - 30-07-2010 There goes my next 4 years of toilet paper then I suggest you don't shake my hand RE: Election flyers needed to be collected - pan - 30-07-2010 I got Marrickville covered for ya! RE: Election flyers needed to be collected - BikerBoy - 30-07-2010 Every single time I do my best to avoid them!! But...If you wan't them Heidi, I'll have some fun and get a collection from my area for you and send them off. RE: Election flyers needed to be collected - Heidi1 - 30-07-2010 I KNOW!! It is the best fun. I always avoid them too, I know how I am voting before I get there, a photocopied bit of paper isn't going to sway me one way or the other. But when you go along the line and take every single one, they get widly excited at first, then confused and then slightly pissed off. Great sport. |
