Intermitten Electrical Short Circuit - suzuka1980 - 18-07-2010 I have this strange problem that occurs intermittenly. My electrical systems experience a short circuit wheni press the horn or when the radiator fans come on. This happens only when the bike is running hot though. It does not short circuit when the bike is cold. Anybody has any idea what is wrong? It can't be the rectifier problem correct? RE: Intermitten Electrical Short Circuit - Throwdown! - 18-07-2010 My bike once broke down and would not start again when I flicked the right indicator on. Seems the extra miniscule load was enough to blow some weedy, useless wiring. Burnt out wires at recitifier and/or stator (under the seat) needs checking everytime. In the meantime, I'd stay off the horn. Fans? Plural? Check that wiring too. Either way, check it yourself - mechanics aren't brilliant on electrics. RE: Intermitten Electrical Short Circuit - Maj - 18-07-2010 what do you mean by short circuit ,blown fuse or smoke or just a dimming or dash reset ? |
