When fuckin retards such as Gruntmax publically threaten to put ice picks in my eyes and distribute my body parts to family members ........... not my idea of motorcycling ........... clear and simple. If I can assist any one at all then as always feel free to give us a call. Ride safe ![]() RE: ECU Flashing Service - Axe - 09-06-2010 Haya, Do you sell power commanders with just a generic tune? I know it'll be pretty close, but every bike is that little bit different, how do you adjust for differences in each bike? You sell the TRE's as well I assume.... Will they keep or lose the gear indicator? RE: ECU Flashing Service - big kev - 09-06-2010 Pete i understand why you feel the way you do mate . it would be a great loss to this forum to see you go mate . i will keep intouch either way cheers BK RE: ECU Flashing Service - Greeny_SA - 09-06-2010 (09-06-2010, 10:18am)big kev Wrote: Pete i understand why you feel the way you do mate . it would be a great loss to this forum to see you go mate . i will keep intouch either wayI'm with Kev,Pete, we don't all think we know more than you, in fact I would take your advice before any from Mr Suzuki, you know more about busa's than them. Yes Pete could sell you a PC & if you would be happy to have a generic tune installed which wont be right go for it , then add the extra cost to get a tre as well . Then you can have extra trinkets on your bike to take up space in your trunk & run the risk of them failing on you & causing headach & loss of $ shane RE: ECU Flashing Service - Macbusa - 09-06-2010 wow, we lost another important and much needed member to this forum, this has been the trend over the years i feel. Well, Pete has a awesome reputation and countless guys will back his work..me included. Pete, make sure you stick your head in occasionally and say hi. Side note, Axe, you don't need a power commander... what Pete does eliminates the need (all the expensive cost) of buying one. Give him a call, he'll sort you out with what you require. RE: ECU Flashing Service - Heidi1 - 09-06-2010 I don't think we've lost him, he is too good for that. We've just temporarily mis-placed him. Personally I'm checking behind the couch. RE: ECU Flashing Service - FalcoPerigri - 09-06-2010 Strange and nasty business aside, I'd like to know a bit more about "flashing" which I presume is a program which re-tunes the existing ECU. I am not putting any doubts into this obviously successful road to power and I also presume that it is reliable and won't destroy the ECU and associated bits. In short, I need to be educated about this procedure because up till now, I only understood that a better power delivery was usually done with a power-commander, a new set of flow pipes/headers and a jolly good "dyno tune". Now, it seems that even a PC3 is not needed to get the same results. Just one question, would this automatically void all pre-existing warranty arrangements? If so, I guess it's usually done after the 2 year period (from new). RE: ECU Flashing Service - donovandon100 - 09-06-2010 do you want a warranty? or do you want performance? of course it would void your warranty! As far as i have seen Busa's are pretty reliable! Powercommander, bazzaz, flash or even yoshbox recalibrate , if it puts your a/f ratios and timing where it needs to be for max power then thats what you will have , engine mods and exhausts etc from that point to gain more power (and again tuned to suit) Powercommander name was great marketing ... Warranty would depend on your dealer, many will not cover even a bike wih a Powercommander... flash would be impossible to tell, same as a suzuki or yosh box recalibrate . Flash lets you adjust your fuel and ign maps, customise the rpm limits inc, turn off the 6th gear low rpm limit . also for racing apps some of the flapper valve or pair valve solenoids can be reset to operate nitrous or boost control , engine kill for speed shifting is also an option, as is turning off the ram air compensation when dynoing , so your tune is still correct when back out on the road. if you want more info about what flashing can do its easier to download the programe, its free ...and look at the various features yourself www.ecueditor.com RE: ECU Flashing Service - FalcoPerigri - 10-06-2010 So I gather that the PC Road is "Old Hat"...+ more expensive etc...but is there any area where the old hat is "better"? Just curious... RE: ECU Flashing Service - Bundybusa - 10-06-2010 Hey, I'm not sure what has gone down since I last checked this forum, but "Pete, Please don't go". You are an invaluable source of information as well as a top bloke and can I also say a "mate". I have only met you personally once, but I do regard you as a mate, so come back soon. If not, I will be rocking up on your doorstep and putting on the tears. Regards, Michael |
