Future busa owner - RAZOR - 29-04-2010 Heya names Ray Currently ride a k6 gixxer 750 which I use on the road and track, with also a k7 gixxer 600 and R6 track bike (which I built up) in the shed both which the girl rides. 750 will go fulltime track as soon as Busa is bought. Have owned afew bikes over the past few years VTR1000, 600RR, Buell xb9s Looking at doing abit of 2up touring with the misses and every bike I research or ride I keep coming back the the Busa ![]() ![]() been having a read of the site and lots of good info to take in. cheers and take it easy Ray ![]() RE: Future busa owner - bazman - 29-04-2010 ![]() you'd be hard pressed to beat the 'busa for sports/touring type riding! All of my pillion passengers have commented how comfy they are on the back, compared to so many other bikes in the same or similar category. ![]() keep it fun, bazman. ![]() RE: Future busa owner - CeeJay07 - 29-04-2010 Yeah but most of the pillions you get around with are of the inflatable variety Bazman!!!!! RE: Future busa owner - mia06 - 29-04-2010 welcome ray i took many bikes for a test with the combination of sport and 2 up tourer needed my girl(handbrake) made the final decision and it was the o6 busa only thing she felt safe on i wasnt complaining one little bit with the decision knowing of what potential and after market parts availablbe for the busa the zx12 seemed a little more down low or instant power but the two up thing wasnt as good zx14 seemed a little long in the reach for me the busa was more comfortable for the cook as well compared to the zx14 didnt try the blackbird end of the day love my 06 RE: Future busa owner - RAZOR - 29-04-2010 (29-04-2010, 02:53pm)CeeJay07 Wrote: Yeah but most of the pillions you get around with are of the inflatable variety Bazman!!!!! ![]() (29-04-2010, 02:53pm)mia06 Wrote: welcome ray Yup was pretty much my end thoughts on all those bikes aswell, ZX12 still atad to "sportsbike" for 2up ZX14 to long for my liking black bird covered all bases but let right down by the no adjusment suspension and didnt like the linked brakes. RE: Future busa owner - Kala - 29-04-2010 hello ive been touring on a vfr800 which is a mighty fine motorcycle (excellent linked brakes, btw, im gonna miss them) but the busa is even better for the long distance simply because its just that much more comfortable i have to change a few things about the way i ride and i wont be taking pillions i have been a pillion on a busa for long days of mountain taming, and they are pretty kind to passengers. i think its because the pillion pad is a reasonable width and very flat along with not being too high. you dont get your hips rolled back or forward and you arent jacked up in space being hit by a lot of wind over the rider id still go and get a gel pad, skin or airhawk tho for a big ride. pillion person will be even happier K RE: Future busa owner - bazman - 29-04-2010 (29-04-2010, 03:13pm)RAZOR Wrote:(29-04-2010, 02:53pm)CeeJay07 Wrote: Yeah but most of the pillions you get around with are of the inflatable variety Bazman!!!!! yeah, but sadly........it's true !!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Future busa owner - Ward P - 29-04-2010 Hey Razor ![]() I ride 2up a lot of the time, the beauty of the busa is you can still have a ball and go almost as quick 2up as 1up out on the road. If your misses has learnt the "sack of potatoes" technique, you'll hardly even notice she's there. BTW - hows her diet going? ![]() RE: Future busa owner - RAZOR - 30-04-2010 (29-04-2010, 06:30pm)Ward P Wrote: Hey Razor She's about 5'4 and 55kgs ringing wet, hardly even tell she is on the back of the 750 as it is lol RE: Future busa owner - Madmax - 01-05-2010 The Gen 1s are all much of a muchness mate. I love our 06 more than the others we've had. We're on number 3 and love the bike. You'll never look back, and the prices of the Gen 1s are really stupidly cheap after the Gens came on the market. My wife and kids fight each other to come for rides with me! Gotta love that. Good luck. Max |
