blitz waterworks road - mia06 - 04-04-2010 comuting to work yesterday on waterworks road brisbane near the gap 2 squad cars and bike police targeting bikes To say i was pissed off was an understatement was doing 50 in a 60 zone and still pulled over went over bike got me for no rear hugger, blinkers to close together and pipe to noisey 100 defect fine took photo of me and exhaust pipe 1. he had no decibel metre 2. had no ruler to measure blinker distance 3. and now its his word against mine, that fact i have committed an offense (not proven) they are entitled to take photo of me I will be lobbing to have photo destroyed along with fine as there is no documented proof mean while two cars went past using phone, when i pointed that out i was told i am dealing with you not them This was a pure revenue raising, 6.20 am next to no traffic on a day where all shops are closed. new gixer went past he jumped on the the 2 way and called the 2 cars saying pull him over i want to have a chat with him next This is nothing short of disgraceful, all because he shook his head as he rode past, what about the the other 2 mobile phone cage drivers we are turning more communist by the day I have not committed a proven offense yet they can take a photo of me without my permission ,so its guilty until proven innocent in this country now it must of been that i looked like a part of a organized crime group i asked him isn't a breach of my civil liberties and was told "i don't know what country u r from but here you have no option we are aloud to do it,simple as that is this law through out Australia Why was it that there was radar traps set up through out the city in 40 and 60 k zones when most fatalities happen out on highways Why is that i commute this road daily, which on a normal working day the roads is ten fold busier and most speeding in peak hour traffic yet no where near the number of radar traps if any one word comes to mind quota it must be almost embarrassing to to work as a police office and justify some executive decisions perhaps i might start taking camera to work 1. in case i get pulled over and film the officer, i wonder if he will object. 2. take photos of every cage driver on the phone and send to each local police station to show how good of a job the government is doing with their education program of being aware on another note when i complained about the cars and mobile phone usage i was told to take a defensive riders course or stop riding a bike I would love to put him on a track and see what his reaction time was. perhaps if terry had done a defensive riding course that may have saved him from the stupidity of a cage driver (yeah right) by the way how many fatalities during Easter occurred in 40 or 60 km zones HAPPY EASTER My COMMUNIST PATRIOTS RE: blitz waterworks road - Camel - 04-04-2010 Ha that's funny! You think you have rights? Bullshit. I'm typing this from a communist country and I have more rights here than I do back home in Australia. Australia is not what it used to be. It is governed by fools who can only handle the little issues and seek out soft targets. The longer I stay away, the less I feel like returning to my introspective homeleand. Very few Hayabusas have huggers. No2 indicators too close - if you alter the adrs of your bike and get caught you cop it sweet. I've seen indicators on frames that are far too close together and can't be seen from the side. No 3 pipe too loud. All of those of us that have altered our pipes live with the prospect of being defected for loudness. The reason we change our pipes is to make them louder so we have a really nice noise and that we want other road users to hear us. There is an old old saying - if you can't do the time, don't do the crime! Suck it up and get on with it. Don't come here complaining the Police are at the heart of your problems - your legislators are at the heart of your problems. The words Strict and Absolute Liability means you have no defence to the charge - unless you turn the traffice infringement notice over and sign where it says - Don't pay the fine and be called to Court where you can argue the case. Why do you think he took the photo? So you can't put your standard system back on before going to court. There could also be an attempt to photograph you following on to OMCGs legislation. As I said above - see your legislators. All motorcyclists are now exposed to this legislation, much to our detriment. You were caught with a bike that has been altered. Fair and square. Suck it up. Don't bash the coppers, bash the legislators. My 2 cents Max RE: blitz waterworks road - mia06 - 04-04-2010 (04-04-2010, 10:07am)Madmax Wrote:(04-04-2010, 08:32am)mia06 Wrote: comuting to work yesterday on waterworks road brisbane near the gap max you better read my post again did you not see "it must be almost embarrassing to to work as a police office and justify some executive decisions" no where in the post was i bagging the officer he was doing a job 2. how does he know its to noisy that is why i thought a noise testing device was/should be used where does common sense prevail when moblie phone users walk scot free ..which of the alleged of offenses would you deem more dangerous.... 3. i guess your reasoning might be used for soldiers who justified their action when they killed jews due to following superior officer issuing orders 4. why was the gixer pulled over....for shaking his head.. f*&^ing power tripper provide undeniable proof that it was to noisy and i will cop it sweet, i am not qualified to say its too noisy and unless the officer had decibel counter how is qualified. maybe a technicality but still murders have got off due technicality innocent until prove guilty i commute daily from the gc to bris lost count how many times i have almost been cleaned up due to cage drivers on phones and not hearing stock pipe 100 fine is cheap insurance policy so my 4 kids get to keep their father Max You come here and complain that they defected you for No 1 No Hugger. - Bullshit! Very few Hayabusas have huggers. i am telling you he told me this is a defect..no bullshit.... you dont know me max but i will argue to the cows come home if i know i am right. and this is what he said period. nobullshit No2 indicators too close - if you alter the adrs of your bike and get caught you cop it sweet. I've seen indicators on frames that are far too close together and can't be seen from the side. what are saying here.."stock or modified bikes" i agree there is a lot of stock bikes that you cannot see blinkers from the side, mine modified...and yes you cannot see them from the side, neither could you see my standard blinker from the side my point was he did not measure them to prove they were to wide a photo of me on my bike will not prove its to noisy, RE: blitz waterworks road - ROD - 04-04-2010 How can any Busa be to noisy when we have all the Harleys out there . Im not looking forward to the day i get pulled over by a nasty they will have a field day But saying that have been pulled over pleanty of times for licence and rego check or drink driving but have allways been sent on my way with no paper work I would say the reason they got you on the No rear hugger is because you have a non standard undertail with no mud guard RE: blitz waterworks road - Macbusa - 04-04-2010 maybe police officers doing the 'scrutineering' of the bikes being pulled over should have good common knowledge of what they are looking at.. brands.. models.. etc Busa's don't have huggers, unlike a CBR1000rr, they do come with a 'hugger' as standard... maybe this is where that policeman is getting confused... thinking that the busa does come standard with a hugger like the CBR 1000rr and many other 1000cc bike out there? With the sound, i would be taking that to court, he would need to supply documentation of the decible readings.. "it sounded loud" won't hold up for nothing. But it sucks you got a ticket mate.. especially for something so trivial. RE: blitz waterworks road - Tony Nitrous - 04-04-2010 I imagine the "rear hugger" ticket was for a short / missing / non-standard rear guard ? A very common ticket recently. 3rd ticket for the same offence and kiss your bike goodbye. RE: blitz waterworks road - Madmax - 04-04-2010 Sorry I didn't see your original words pointing out the embarrassment factor. We all know the difference between stock (sowing machine) pipes and decent after market pipes (great warning for anyone in front) I think the first things a lot of us do is take the stock pipes off, myself included. I once sat beside a Police car waiting for him to move away from a red light before I even thought about moving myself. The copper sat and grinned at ,me saying "you'll have to go sooner or later mate!", I had just put a 4 into 1 yosh with a TRS can on. A mate who works traffic told me that they (Bike Coppers) aren't interested in us, more in the excrusciatingly loud fart noises the Hardleys put out. If they ever come looking for us for the little modifications we make - we'll be well and truly f****d, no doubt! A little common sense seems to keep them away from us most of the time. Your situation certainly looked like bikes were being targeted that day. You've got him beaten with the hugger, no such thing as a Hayabusa with a hugger standard equipment. There are pigs mate, not doubt in that as well. Every workplace has people just like old mate trying to make himself look important while sticking the boot into you. He will always look a twit, while you don't have to. Wear the crap that you had coming, argue for truth in what is defensible and ignore the bullshit. Regards. Certainly not the case in Brissy / Qld. The cop's recently have shown very little interest in Harleys and have been very ticket-happy with Sportsbikes/streetfighters/nakeds. Pipes and rear guards are favorites. Both now come under the "anti-hooning" law's. RE: blitz waterworks road - Missy_Moo - 04-04-2010 ok, this I wasn't aware of... Fender eliminators, on the K8's. Removing the stock fender and putting in the fender eliminator is classified as illegal modification? RE: blitz waterworks road - Madmax - 04-04-2010 (04-04-2010, 05:35pm)Missy_Moo Wrote: ok, this I wasn't aware of... If you vary the distance the indicators are from the centerline of the bike and their visibility from the rear and sides you have altered the Australian Design Regs which apply to all aspects of the machine. Sounds like Brisvegas is a town to stay clear of. RE: blitz waterworks road - Tony Nitrous - 04-04-2010 (04-04-2010, 05:35pm)Missy_Moo Wrote: ok, this I wasn't aware of... Yeah, there is an exact spec they work to, but its basicaly something like 45 degree's up and out from the rear axle. Cop was sat leaving Ferny Grove towards Samford recently ticketing EVERY bike with a short rear guard that he stopped. A brissy lad had 3 tickets for the same offence, Had his bike confiscated, was in court recently and has now lost it under the Qld Anti-hooning law's. He still owe's $12,000. Sure, he had plenty of warning but to lose a bike over a rear guard seems a bit much !! He wasnt the only one that day either. I know of another bike that has been seized for a 2nd exhaust offence. Another ticket and he might not get it back either. RE: blitz waterworks road - evilRasp - 04-04-2010 RE: blitz waterworks road - Macbusa - 04-04-2010 short rear guard comes under the Anti hooning laws... WTF is this state coming to !!!! Loosing a bike for a modified rear guard.... down right disgrace.
