key issue - Tag 13 - 24-03-2010 i have a mate with a black 07 busa. he has lost both his keys and didnt bother to write down the number on the key. what are his options regarding getting a new key. thanks. RE: key issue - cheeky - 24-03-2010 That is a real bummer, sorry that he lost them.. I was told at one stage when hubs lost one of my keys that it may need rebarrelling..Also can be exxy. tell him to pop down too local key shop(as in ppl that deal with safes ect) they may help him in the right direction. RE: key issue - big kev - 24-03-2010 suzuki will have the key ID number , take the bike to a genuine suzuki dealer and he should be able to get a key with all the details from the frame and engine number , its not going to be cheap $$$ RE: key issue - Camel - 24-03-2010 (24-03-2010, 05:08pm)big kev Wrote: suzuki will have the key ID number , take the bike to a genuine suzuki dealer and he should be able to get a key with all the details from the frame and engine number , its not going to be cheap $$$ And not if you're in WA! RE: key issue - big kev - 24-03-2010 ahh bugger i had a spare key ordered when i purchased the bike RE: key issue - GRUNTMAX - 24-03-2010 1) Buy a near new 2500km lava red 2006 Busa Tank with Key. 2) Buy a near new 2500km lava red 2006 Busa Tail section with matching key hole. 3) Buy a 2004 Busa Ignition with key. $1,500 if you want this, not negotiable. PM if you want it and can afford it. Available in Sydney or + shipping if not collected in person. Cheers RE: key issue - TheShredder - 24-03-2010 complete set of locks on ebay Sam RE: key issue - Maj - 24-03-2010 If your dealer wants too much a locksmith can cut a key if you can give them a barrell, tailpiece one will probably be easiest nothing special about the 99-07 keys RE: key issue - BUSGO - 24-03-2010 The tailpiece and tank keyhole does not have the full set of pins of the ignition but a good locksmith can work out the last pin by working down from the top. In some cases the last pin is the one that unlocks the steering only. RE: key issue - Maj - 24-03-2010 Thanks for the correction Busgo RE: key issue - Tag 13 - 25-03-2010 I THINK EBAY IS THE BEST OPTION.
