braided brake lines - dddd - 19-01-2010

I have been informed (thanks Gary) that braided brake lines (to the front) will make a marked improvement to its performance so I'm wondering which brand of brake lines people are running/recommending
Any feed back is helpfull

ive had the same questions mate last set i got were from PIRTEC exellent product that was on my gixxer 1100. now im saveing my pennies and going for HEL LINES , HEL lines are certified same as PIRTEC and i know people say you dont need to have cert lines on your bike , but if you do ever have an accident and you go to claim your claim could be disputed as there not certified brake lines , but do lots of research mate thats the best way

every thing about is IMO

was just reading rapid and HEL have a deal going 3 brake lines for $240 posted to you , thats a dam great deal for that price PIRTEC cant match that price

RE: braided brake lines - CeeJay07 - 21-01-2010

That is a good deal BK, it's been running for a couple of months now. It may not be available for much longer, so those in the market for braided lines should give it some consideration. (No I don't work for/ represent HEL, it's a good product @ a good price).

RE: braided brake lines - big kev - 21-01-2010

its a great deal CJ i got a quote of $327.50 and thats for 3 brake likes and 1 clutch like in dark purplr with black annodised ends . so the $240 package is dam good price

If you are putting in new lines I recommend you install a set of speed bleeders as well very cheap and a great product. Pi_thumbsup

RE: braided brake lines - dddd - 22-01-2010

I notice that Hel do 2 different lines for the front.
One set duplicates the OEM style IE a loop line going over the guard joining the two calipers
And the other set run two dedicated lines from the master cylinder to the individual calipers , which style are people putting on.
Also I run heli bars and 10mm spacers under the handle bars , does anyone know about the length of these lines in comparison to the std lines
