PAIR Mod is now REDUNDANT! - Camel - 01-01-2010

Now, with Version: 2.0.6.16 of ECU Editor 2.0 the PAIR mod is redundant!

Check out PetriK's latest effort!

HO2S and PAIR can now be turned off using ECU Editor.

No more flogging marbles from the kids.

No need for resistors!

For dyno purposes only.. of course!Coolsmiley

Well another feature yet again for FLASHING So what are they saying ? With Flashing you don't need a Power Commander with auto tune and secondary controller, a TRE, a NOS controller, a Shift controller, an O2 eliminator, the Pair Mod with resistor etc etc
With the bonus of under a third of the price of the alternative mind you !
Now thats not bad for what some fool Coolsmiley called a poor mans power commander Lol2 Lol2 Lol2 Lol2
You know what they say Mark ..................

Pete, what are you trying to say Lol2
The "after market" boys must be pissed at how well this ECU"hacking" is going. Leigh

Not just pissed off with how well it works, but at how it clearly shows the bullshit in their so-called custom maps.

RE: PAIR Mod is now REDUNDANT! - fasterfaster - 01-01-2010

Lee ................... eggs zactly ....................... Mark well in ten years of dynoing the Busa I'm yet to find a "Custom" map that goes even close.
But try telling some ? (Insert head banging brick wall icon here)

Oh BTW, notice I said 'for dyno purposes'.

At the moment (and I mean that literally, things are happening very fast) you'll invoke a fault code if you switch off the PAIR with the PAIR disconnected. Event though it's switched off internally.

So if you happen to be thinking of getting rid of your PAIR today, you'll still need to bridge the O/W and Gr wires with a 1 watt, 880 ohm resistor to prevent the FI light coming on.

But that coding solution will probably be sorted by this time tomorrow!

Mark
D'oh! I've been so busy flashing Scary for the last 24 hours I forgot to get enough sleep!

It's not an 880 ohm resistor it is a 680 ohm, 1 watt resistor.

RE: PAIR Mod is now REDUNDANT! - fasterfaster - 01-01-2010

True it probably will be Mark ................. can use a 240 Ohm resistor looped in a male plug in terminal makes for a neat Pair eliminator.
Just went to fit some pair valve covers and the holes are that far out ................. shit products that some people flog never ceases to amaze. But then I guess drilling two holes the correct distance apart is pretty technical ?
Cheers

Not a 'primate' product is it?

Pete i have a pair of pair covers here from SAE Outlaw performance, brought them on the off chance the would fit the 1K (they do if i turn them upsidedown ...LOL...) when i was getting billet fuel rails and other stock .
let me know if you still need some

Good news looks like they are starting to play with the setting again, that can only be good Pi_thumbsup

What is the HOX sensor ????

RE: PAIR Mod is now REDUNDANT! - simmo - 03-01-2010

Guess where I have been, the turbo Guys are going to love this if they get get it sorted

RE: PAIR Mod is now REDUNDANT! - Maj - 03-01-2010

Its already sorted enough, 490cc drop in injectors are readily available , just need to change the electrical connectors,
there is a 3 bar conversion on the IAP , then set your injector size, open the boost fueling tables and use the std ecu up to ~31 psi boost , not the most complicated system but very functional

i like the stv control now available,if you download the latest version, not much documentation with all this but selecting a number from 1-6 in the stv table selects the gear that table is active in
and dragging the bottom of the box pictured above opens other options including abc mode mods

RE: PAIR Mod is now REDUNDANT! - fasterfaster - 03-01-2010

This just keeps getting better n better ................... to have so much available without any costly bolt on bits needed at all is outstanding. Yes Yes
