the island - crumpy - 29-12-2009
Anyone heading to the island in feb for the superbikes .I am going the coast rd from wandandian near tomerong (meeting up with cousin on a rat vf1000r).

Umm, yeah. Heading from just around the corner at Sanitary Pitt with 2 mates. Started a similar thread to this and got f***-all response.

I used to live there in walmer rd cousin lives at basin view picking up from there.when getting closer will get in touch and arrange a time if you want.cheers crumpy

Jen & I are definetly heading down, probaly minus Bundy due to Vic's anti dog laws, which we are working on at the moment.
Not sure how many we are riding down with or where we are staying just yet, all TBA.
We tried a AHC meeting at the Euphoria Cafe in the main drag of Cowes when the GP was on, only a couple showed, BusaBazz & one other I think. Anyway, I suppose we could all try again, watch this space as time gets a little closer.

I'll hopefully be going as long as my bike is fixed. Repairer reckons having trouble getting parts at this time of year. Fingers crossed it all works out

Hey Crumpy, we'll be leaving on Wednesday, what time depends on how much time we can get off work- hoping to leave just after lunch. Planning to camp at Genoa. Not sure what sort of pace you're planning on, but we're just cruising close to the speed limit and let other riders collect all the tickets from the bacon.

I will be going again with hopefully couple of fellas here in Mackay, plus meeting up with some OZFS blokes from Moree and Wollongong on the way down, hope to meet some of the fellas here at the Island at least, got passed by Tex and Bundy at PI at finish of proceedings this year, he must have known where cops were lurking...
