RE: Help with OEM cans - Cb Boy - 29-12-2009

Yes, it's standard...I just checked both of mine and they both have the dents, one side larger than the other :)

RE: Help with OEM cans - BUSGO - 29-12-2009

Yes Andrew. They are stock like that to allow for the stands to plop into.
P.S. you pipes are much cleaner than mine.

Thanks guys. Busgo the pipes came off when the bike was 3km old.

You guys sure there should be 2 dents in the gear shifter side
pipe?

WTF is wrong with the edit post!!!!!!!

RE: Help with OEM cans - BUSGO - 29-12-2009

Ok Andrew settle down - they are perfect.
The one extra on the other side is in case you fit a centre stand.
All the stock Gen II pipes have the same dents.
You can relax now mate.

RE: Help with OEM cans - abusa - 29-12-2009

Thats a fair restriction that indentation, Gen 1s dont have it only the inner one.

Was about to go this week and see the mechanic that fitted my 4-1 exhaust and have discussion with him as to why he deemed it necessary to dent my standard pipes, really glad I read this thread first, might have been a very embarrassing and costly affair.
