hayabusa frame, is the coating anadised or is it galvanised and whats the differance and can you get it re-done ? and how do you get differant surfaces

I assume you mean the 07-current models with the black frame? or do you mean the earlier silver frames? if its the earlier silver frames i have the feeling they are just bare alloy. the 07-current black frames are either paint or powder coat not sure which but i think its paint.

nah the earlier ones, on the alloy its a coating as when you sand/polish it back you can see a protective layer

[the early frames are clear anodised you could re-do but will never look as good as when it was new though

cheers, but why ?

RE: Frame coatings - ajchop - 22-12-2009

[its the same as anything these days nothing is as good as it used to also when done new it is done on new aluminium once the original coating is stripped the stripping process doesn't leave you with fresh new looking alloy anymore
