Coating and anodising - jamesallan - 16-11-2009 Hi all, Need some help tracking down a place in the Sydney to outer-Syd area for coating and finishing Busa parts. I rang around today and no help finding a place that I can drop off and pick up all ready to go. I have a heap of screws, nuts, bolts and washers that I would like to get back to original quality coating of varoius colours and material. Thanks in advance for any assistance. ![]() RE: Coating and anodising - ajchop - 16-11-2009 [hey mate give all finished products a try they are in sydney not sure if they do small orders these days but give it a go if you have no luck let me know RE: Coating and anodising - Greeny_SA - 17-11-2009 Replace them all with stainless steel one's . Model Specific Fastener Kits for Metric Motorcycles & Harley-Davidson, Cycles & More RE: Coating and anodising - jamesallan - 17-11-2009 Thanks Guys, Seems that all finished products have moved out of one workshop and they won't touch small jobs like this. Stainless would work out expensive and heavier. Cheers Busgo - I'm trying to get it back to dead stock that is where the fun is. Probolt wow that is a definite resource that I may use thanks. At the moment I have rung a swag of places and may have jagged one called Astor at Villawood in the west of Sydney. They have two locations one for anodising and zincing, the other for chroming. They take on small jobs ( 5 cliplock lunch bags of harware off a Busa). Will let you know if this works out and they said it can be done before Xmas. Cost unknown i will post the outcome as soon as i can get there for the quote. appreciate the assistance RE: Coating and anodising - ROD - 17-11-2009 Buy a polish wheel for your bench grinder and way you go polish up like new ![]() RE: Coating and anodising - BabyBusa - 17-11-2009 A few of the guys have used Astor at Villawood. 1hotbusa had some stuff chromed there....a few pieces are peeling, but others are ok. Here is a sample of the finished gear courtesy of Astor at Villawood. It took approx 3 weeks and the cost for caoating and buffing came to $165 for about 140 individaul items. I am quite happy with the result for the price. James |
