Aluminum fabrication in Newcastle. - [UNIT] - 04-10-2009

Hi

I have a small project, 90% done just needing the finishing touches.

Can someone from Newcastle please point me in the direction of a decent fab shop skilled in aluminum.. I only require some welding, pretty straight forward I would imagine.

I've rang a few ppl with no success.

Thanks.

G'day [UNIT].
I sell steel and a little aluminium to most of the fab shops around the Hunter Valley.

You will get good welders skilled in aluminium at most trailer manufacturers.
I recommend you try Felk Trailers at Warners Bay, Dutch Engineering at Carrington or Marlin Trailers at Heatherbrae for a start. Also Aluminium Custom Engineering at Wickham - they may be your best shot.

How did you go [UNIT]?

I forgot to mention Doyalson welding. They specialise in gal boat and trailer repairs too.

i forgot to reply.

i had to get some fairings painted so i went to the guy in gateshead (MJs). while i was there i said i needed a welder and he said go see a bloke around the corner who welds his tanks for him.
Im pretty confident he will do a good job. he makes handrails/pool ladders and does tanks for MJ on the side. rides a tlr1000 with orange wheels in shmick condition.

thanks for your input. the trailer place at warnersbay was next stop!
