rear brake reservoir - [UNIT] - 27-09-2009 hi guys im after info on the rear brake reservoir. how important in the size etc of the std k8 one? can i replace it with similar size to the pic! This is a better pic. http://www.easyriderimports.com.au/lightview/images/Yamaha-04-06-YZF-R1-1.jpg RE: rear brake reservoir - fasterfaster - 27-09-2009 You could even just use the hose if you wanted to ? As long as port on master is never exposed to air and fluid is sealed from atmosphere. Downside on smaller cylinder would be fluid capacity could be exhausted as pads wear. So as long as you keep fluid level topped up as pad wear increases caliper volume .......... you could use a thimble. RE: rear brake reservoir - Ruffy - 02-10-2009 Do a search on "Vandriver" he as some nice billet ressies for $60 + $6 US and he does them in black as well - I've had them on both mine. Cheers John |
