Uneven wear... - chunkylover - 04-03-2006

My front tyres are still from factory, getting them replaced soon. But they are wearing more on the right side. Could this mean i do more right turns?

At the end of WSID you have to turn right may be you have been going to fast
or you might be going a lot faster into Right hand bends, I know I do

A few years ago when I was over West OZ I had a little

ZXR250 and there was this big round about I used to fly

around, I was always cutting up the right side of the rear

tyre keeping it on the boil, shit I had alot of fun back then.

Your just smashing through the right handers harder than the

left thats all. If it were out of wack you would be able to feal

it through the bends. Thats my 2 cents worth

What a pity you can't even out the wear by taking the wheel off and turning it around.

(Please don't try that.... I know you're not stupid chunky... but just in case a newbie wanders across this thread I thought I'd better add it.)

Re: Methinks - baz - 05-03-2006

Chunky - its all to do with the camber they put on the roads. After 2 trips tp PI from NQ (8500k each trip) both sets of front and back tyres were storked badly on the right hand side. not much you can do about it.
