Where to go, overnight from Newcastle? - [UNIT] - 06-08-2009

Hi

I'm thinking about going away for the night on the busa.
Where's a nice pub a few hours from Newcastle? Don't wanna pay too much or have the busa left outside in a dodgy area..

Cheers

If you do Gingers be carefull as I went through there a few months back and there was a lot of crap on the road and pot holes from the big wet.

Both great suggestions.
Another good one is Mudgee via the Bylong Valley Rd.
Head out to Denman and turn off just before Sandy Hollow.
Ride to Rylestone and then out to Mudgee / Bathurst.
(The cops are friendlier in Mudgee)
4 HRS from Newcastle and great roads all the way.
Not so many dangerous winter roads but still great busa kingdom territory.

Thanks!!! I'll eventually do all. I'm leaning towards bendameer as I've stopped there before..
I'm worried about locking the bike up. Any suggestions

Yes but none of that mind altering Cudgegong Special that they dispense in Mudgee, hic.

wasnt a bad weekend.. rode up thru thunderbolts and on to bendemeer. the missus was freezing so we had to go to tamworth first thing today to buy more layers so i just followed on thru scone. etc.

ended up being booked in muswellbrook. got away with 10km and under even tho i know that wasnt the case. :)
