Where to go, overnight from Newcastle? - [UNIT] - 06-08-2009 Hi I'm thinking about going away for the night on the busa. Where's a nice pub a few hours from Newcastle? Don't wanna pay too much or have the busa left outside in a dodgy area.. Cheers RE: Where to go, overnight from Newcastle? - humbussa - 06-08-2009 stay at Gingers Creek for the night....the best Rd in Aus $85 a night inc Dinner and breakfast Bonfire and they also sell a good selection or Beer atc!!! great ride up and back. RE: Where to go, overnight from Newcastle? - kev11e - 06-08-2009 G'day bendemeer pub... Regards Kevin RE: Where to go, overnight from Newcastle? - [UNIT] - 06-08-2009 Thanks guys.. What do u do with ur bike? Just chain it up.. Is bendamere west of walcha? RE: Where to go, overnight from Newcastle? - Gaz57 - 06-08-2009 Yes UNIT, Bendemeer is west of Walcha, where the Oxley HW meets the New England HW. A good spot. Gaz RE: Where to go, overnight from Newcastle? - DAD - 06-08-2009 If you do Gingers be carefull as I went through there a few months back and there was a lot of crap on the road and pot holes from the big wet. RE: Where to go, overnight from Newcastle? - BUSGO - 06-08-2009 Both great suggestions. Another good one is Mudgee via the Bylong Valley Rd. Head out to Denman and turn off just before Sandy Hollow. Ride to Rylestone and then out to Mudgee / Bathurst. (The cops are friendlier in Mudgee) 4 HRS from Newcastle and great roads all the way. Not so many dangerous winter roads but still great busa kingdom territory. RE: Where to go, overnight from Newcastle? - [UNIT] - 06-08-2009 Thanks!!! I'll eventually do all. I'm leaning towards bendameer as I've stopped there before.. I'm worried about locking the bike up. Any suggestions RE: Where to go, overnight from Newcastle? - garbo - 06-08-2009 G'day , Bendemeer have a shed down the road to secure your bike. Top pub as well. If Mudgee is on let us city folk know, its only a few hours for us RE: Where to go, overnight from Newcastle? - [UNIT] - 07-08-2009 I'm going to bendemere. $74 a night and a shed to lock ur bike up RE: Where to go, overnight from Newcastle? - Gnarbunkle99 - 07-08-2009 Yes but none of that mind altering Cudgegong Special that they dispense in Mudgee, hic. RE: Where to go, overnight from Newcastle? - [UNIT] - 09-08-2009 wasnt a bad weekend.. rode up thru thunderbolts and on to bendemeer. the missus was freezing so we had to go to tamworth first thing today to buy more layers so i just followed on thru scone. etc. ended up being booked in muswellbrook. got away with 10km and under even tho i know that wasnt the case. :) |
