How long have you had a Busa? - bazooka - 31-05-2009
Just curious to see who got hooked and stayed hooked. I bought my first Bus in Aug 99 copp/silv - number 255. Sold it in 06 (been kicking my arse ever since and would love to have it still) bought an 06 Red/Black and still going - so 10 years in August this year.

Bought my Copper/Silver which is a 2/99 manuf. VIN#033 back in Nov.'99. So almost 10 yrs here to with no desire to sell it. Maybe the 2010 (cant believe I just said that date, frakk them yrs go by) model when it comes out later this year may interest me but doubt if I will let the '99er go so will have to have them both.

first bike EVER, is my baby that im riding now! a '99 Red/Black... and owned it since Nov '08.
original owner kept it immaculate with only 20K... im going to do my best to keep it like that for another 10yrs.
... did the research before buying, and wanted one of the 'unrestricted models'
Liked the '00 Red/Grey, but thought an original is better.
anything with Red looks Fast and Hot

Purched my black/purple brand new in sept 04 and only put 14000 kms on her since, she's a keeper and not letting her go!

Bought mine June 05 , brand new Red / Black even got to open the crate when it arrived at the shop , 58000 ks later and doubt ill ever get rid of it. Not saying that wont get other bikes

I bought mine in February last year .
At first the controls seemed a little strange compared to the 99 Blade i had . The throttle felt light and the clutch and brake felt heavy , the gearbox took a little more effort to get it to swap cogs .
Slow speed manoeuvring took a little getting used to as well .
After a while i started to get used to it and it became familiar .
Then i hopped back on the Blade and while not trying to ride quickly i found myself winding on the throttle more and more wondering when something was going to happen , I was thinking to myself "is this fu&*^n thing broken" .
The Blade was a great bike , easy to ride and not uncomfortable but the Bussa is something else .
If i ever have the cash i may get a Ducati or Harley as a second bike but the Bussa is a keeper .

Bought my first busa late 99 was the 00 Blue did not like the copper then
but since have had
99 Red/black
99 Copper
03 Black/silver
07 black
Fav would be the k3 i will die b4 that goes so look out for a bargain then as wife would prob sell for 1k

First a 04 bought in Nov03 - Limited Red. (US Model), second one here bought a 00 in Feb 07. with 59000 - going 80000+...will keep it even though its giving me bit of problems ..just planning a second bike...but confused a Black K9, a Ducati 1198s, Suzuki K9 GSXR1000 or Honda K9 Fireblade 1000. Maybe I will endup buying a salvage and make it a track day bike....but Busa will stay.

First of, I should introduce myself as Dennis and this is my first post. I am in (Kelmscott) Perth, and my first Busa, I have owned for two weeks. Took some time ,but I found what I was looking for. A beautiful Red/Black unrestricted 99 model in stock condition with 8K on the clock. My other bike is a V/Star 1100 Cruiser with which I doubled the horsepower then added Nos. Terrific armchair ride with some grunt, but cannot, come close to the handling and legs of the Busa.
I know I will learn a lot about my new ride on this forum.

Feb 04 brand spankers black purple - she has changed a bit since then.
Got a K8 orange in Feb 08 and still have both.

K1 Blue / Silver - 18 months.
K4 Black / Purple - Coming up for 2 years
Gap in between of about 2 years was hell.
