Bathurst Bash 2009 - BUSGO - 24-05-2009 I'll start the ball rolling with some snaps from the Bash. Click each photo for larger images. This is a store that will become a regular stop for bikers. The Bylong General Store is situated about half way between Sandy Hollow and Rylstone on the Bylong Valley Way. This road is incredible and has just had the final section of 23klms sealed to make a 106klm stretch of fantastic bike friendly road. Our lunch stop on Friday was at Rylstone. A nice little town with a few pubs and cafes to choose from. The bike friendly Panorama City Hotel/Motel in Bathurst has oodles of space in the bike park. Even room for a dozen or so veteren cars too. Breakfast room on Saturday morning. The sun was out while we prepared for the ride and lasted for about the first 30 minutes. Buggar! Left to right. Shona, Harley, Bev, Busgo, Cheeky, Gaye, Gassick, Nivo. Main street of Oberon. We arrived in light mist and left in heavy mist and it just kept getting heavier. Crumpy advised going back to Bathurst via Lithgow.(Just a bit longer but safer) YEAH RIGHT! 100 KS of fog. By the way, thanks loads for guiding us Crumpy. More to come. RE: Bathurst Bash 2009 - BUSGO - 24-05-2009 A highlight for most of us for our visit to Bathurst was doing some laps of the mountain of course and we had a dry track for the whole afternoon. YAY!! Gassick points out to Crumpy where the red/black bike will get passed him.. Somehow Gassick's front tyre did less revs around the circuit than the rear. Some of the group. It was hard to get them all together at one time. The ominous clouds kept hovering around but thankfully stayed away while we were at the track. Saturday night started slow but got better as the night went on. Bathurst Panthers is not the "best" venue in town for entertainment. We found a couple places that suited our needs and on the way home today, some felt "as sick as a dog" after a big night out. So where else could we stop for a breather? RE: Bathurst Bash 2009 - TheShredder - 25-05-2009 good 1 Ray looks like everyone enjoyed shane RE: Bathurst Bash 2009 - bigfoot - 25-05-2009 spewin i missed it bugger, oh well at least i'll have my bike next time!!
