Rattle? - bus99 - 26-07-2005

I have red black 99 with almost 50k on her.
Have developed a rattle from front end, had head set checked, have pretty much pulled everything of it and took for ride.......... but still the rattle remains, bad when cornering on rough corner which is the norm in country NSW.
Any help would be good.

If it was old 99 I'd say it was his first penny he ever earnt rattling around under the nose cone.

I remember a problem years back, but I think it was when taking off?

Have you suspended the front end and checked the wheel bearings???

Let us know when you get it sorted???

Re: Rattle and Hum - BUSGO - 26-07-2005

Bus99,
I took a 99 Red Black with a full Yoshi kit for a test ride last November in Newcastle which had 43 thou on the clock.
It had a rattle and exhaust vibrations.
There was a fairing clip missing from the inside of the fairing near the fork stanchions. You can see them from above the headstock when you look down between the fork leg and the fairing.
My current 99 Red Black 64k is smooth and hums.
All clips are in place.
Hope this helps.
