Anyone scraping pegs? - LisaB(usa) - 27-10-2008 Hi guys, I didnt want my first post to be a complaint about my new baby.... but I'm going to be sad if after buying the "ultimate machine" that I can't throw her into the corners like I want to...... I've just bought an 06 Hayabusa and went for a play on Putty road only to find I was scraping the pegs on tight corners...... is this a common issue? RE: Anyone scraping pegs? - Billy the kid - 28-10-2008 Wellcome! Have you checked your tyre pressures??Chain slack?? At the moment, I'm on putty every weekend. (addicted much?) I looked at the 08/09, but the budget didn't allow me to look for long, needed to save some back for all the tyres I'll go through RE: Anyone scraping pegs? - DjPete - 28-10-2008 I've not heard of many scraping the pegs. Unless you still have the blobs at the ends of the standard pegs. I think they will bottom out. Just take those warning blobs off or add GSX1100 pegs to it. Have them on mine and no issues although they are a bit small. RE: Anyone scraping pegs? - pan - 28-10-2008 I raise the back with end dogbones and that gives much better clearance... RE: Anyone scraping pegs? - DjPete - 28-10-2008 Quote:Already took the blobs off respect Ive ridden with some very fast riders on Busas and Ive never seen/heard of scraping pegs RE: Anyone scraping pegs? - LisaB(usa) - 28-10-2008 DjPete Wrote:Quote:Already took the blobs off that's why i'm asking around, i was sooo surprised., I think the previous owner must have made some mods - he was a tall fella. meh, I still love it, RE: Anyone scraping pegs? - Slowdownjack - 28-10-2008 Gday LisaB,i had the pleasure of meeting you at the Halfway on Sunday. to the club.
