Spammers - BUSGO - 24-08-2008

Over the past two weeks or so we have had a couple of spammers join our club and post blatant spamming ads in our threads.
I have taken action to ban the new members immediately and delete their posts.

I have also noticed that since the first attack, my home PC has received a whole range of new spam mail from previously unknown sources that have been filtered out. Nearly all the spam has been about watches and a little about gambling web sites. Neither of which I have ever had an interest in or visited simmilar websites to attract attention.

Just a warning to beef up your own defences on the internet, especially if you have also received simmilar email over the past week or so.

I've had the same trouble with Spam Emails over the last couple of months as well, mostly crap mail from Chinese sources (So it appears) trying to sell me "Bargain" electrical goods etc. Only thing i can put it down to so far is that someone has picked up my Email address from purchase's i have made via Ebay from Chinese sources and paid through paypal. Could be wrong but worth a thought.

Also need to add that they have been hard to stop, as although all the emails are from the same company, the Domain source changes with each Email , so blocking them has been difficult
