Velocity stacks - helrayzer - 21-08-2008
Got a K7 'Busa. Fitted with Yoshis, air filter and a TRE. Been reading a little about velocity stacks. I am tempted to buy them, but before i do, can anyone tell me more about them?
Where will the powerband move to?
Will they destroy the bottom end?
Damage fuel economy?

All long = more mid range (allegedly)
All short= more top end
That's why Suzuki fit 2 of each.........happy medium.
I've tried both, didn't notice much...

How do you pick 3 hP through your arse
with a coathanger with a hook on the end of it.If your a street rider the factory pro velocity stacks work very well,i,ve tested them extensively.They nose over up the very top but make good torque at part and full throttle.I picked up 8hp at 8300 with them.I,ve had others use them and all notice the difference so it wasn,t just me.More grunt off the mark and more mid range just less hp over 10000revs.They make the bike sound better too and it seems to rev smoother.They are a great STREET stack,if your going to drag they don,t carry hp over 10k.Dad at easyrider can help you out or you can order off e-bay or from factory pro direct.If youve just got slip ons with these stacks tuned with an airfilter it will be a torque monster down low.

I believe I have a full yoshi system fitted, not slip ons unfortunately, I am not at home, so I can't go out and have a look...

I agree with spaman on the benefits of the stacks plus it makes the induction sound much better - my '99 loves 'em

You dont know if you have a full system or not LOL errr preety easy to figure out - you have 1 pipe or 2 ... oh yeah better go look .. hope you ride better than you know your bike lol

But he might have a FULL Yosh "DUEL" system so then what ?
As for the stacks .................. save your money I reckon, probably more usefull to stick em up your ass and at least make ya farts sound better

As I already said smart ass (and as you quoted), I am not at home, so I can't go and check. I do know I have 2 exhausts, but are they slip ons or are they a Yoshi duel system? Maybe you can tell from where you are? I can't see from here.
If you aren't going to post advice on what was a request for help, don't bother posting.
