K8 Battery - Slong - 30-07-2008
Does anyone care to post some dimensions of the K8 battery (W X L X H).
My original '00 battery did the clock reset trick on me a couple days ago.
Someone mentioned the K8 is a gel type with more oomph in it. I'm assuming the charging system between Gen 1 & 2 is no different.

i dont think the battery will fit i may be wrong but im pretty sure the k8 is bigger

I just checked the specs on both models and surprise surprise.
The K8 battery is a Yuasa 12v 36KC (10AH)/10HR.
The GEN 1 battery is a Yuasa 12v 36KC (10ah)/10hr.
In other words they are the same battery but the new one is GEL and the old one is acid.
The GEN II battery is definitely a different shape and is no maintenance.
The gel battery is claimed to be a more reliable and stronger output but is still rated the same as the old one.
