new user!- how ya doin - spina - 23-07-2008 Before I lay my butt on the ground and get to work, my ASS IS KILLING ME!!! any suggestions on seat s would be greatly appreciated. I wouldnt mind a gel seat if they look good as well as being comfortable. Hey guys, I am very new to the Hayabusa world LOL I owned a 2006 ZX14 for a couple of years and it was recently stolen. so i decided to try an 08 Busa. My initial impression is good I think the power is maybe a little better compared to a stock 14 (my 14 was pretty heavily modified) The fit and finish of the bike itself is AWESOME!! the seating position is a little sportier ie uncomfortable LOL then my 14 was. my ASS IS KILLING ME!!! But I am very impressed with the bike so far. Over the next year I will begin getting it ready for dragracing but this late in the season I am going to keep it relatively close to stock for now. RE: new user!- how ya doin - Volvi - 23-07-2008 Welcome to the club Spina. From what Ive read theres been mixed results re seats, there are a couple threads on it if you do a search. Id say before doing anything wear your arse and seat in a bit, sometimes it just takes a little while for ones body parts to get used to. I know it took my bod 2 weeks to adjust to the busa when first getting it. Heli Bars for a bit more comfort $285 . @ www.easyriderimports.com RE: new user!- how ya doin - Madmax - 24-07-2008 humbussa Wrote:Welcome spina......same as Volvi most people that have brought the Gel say the the original is better, probably a sheepskin for really long trips but i've done 500k's without any soreness!! welcome to the world of Busa anyway........i just sold my ZZR1100 to go to the big Suzuki and loving it I did one of the gel seats from Suzuki and found it very hard. I have reverted to the stock seat with a dead animal covering it. That and the bar risers certainly make the busa better. Max RE: new user!- how ya doin - motoplast - 24-07-2008 Welcome Spina, I have found the Suzuki Gel seat similar to a flat piece of plywood, I do many long trips and I find an "airhawk" seat cover is the answer. Congrats on the K8, they are a bloody good thing.
