RE: The Gen2 1441 build - simmo - 19-10-2009

Not the flux capacitor again, but it was only half charged Scary

LOL she is a screamer Simmo. Blew the back tyre off the dyno when I took it in.

Some pics of the build sorry bout the quality its a phone camera.

Dropped the bike off to Mr Hands and 2 hours later the motor was out and engine stripped.

The replacement head supplier asked me not to show anyone photos of his head so I aint gunna, if you want the specs call for an American Carpenter.Pi_tongue

Interesting that my Gen 2 motor has only 20k on it and most of those were done on the trip around Australia. The easiest miles any motor could do. Oil changes every 2-3000k's with quality oil and it has galled wrist pins. Maybe the smaller pins on the gen 2 wont last as well as the gen 1.

We shall see.

RE: The Gen2 1441 build - spamanglenn - 20-10-2009

Did you weigh the JE pistons compared to the stock gen2 pistons?

RE: The Gen2 1441 build - fasterfaster - 21-10-2009

That was done .................. but before ceramic coating was done !

RE: The Gen2 1441 build - spamanglenn - 21-10-2009

And what were the weights of the JE,s compared to the stock pistons?
