Re 415kph - hawkwind racing - 08-09-2005 John's record is 259 MPH thats 415 kph on salt turbo busa ,truly blokes its not that difficult to run on salt ,really is a peice of piss ,don't be skeered and I guarantee a high possibility of catching "salt fever" Re: Re 415kph - CAS3234 - 08-09-2005 I'm still keen to give it a go, I just have to tie it in with my ANDRA season. Which if things keep going the way they have I might give the drags away, and just do salt, I will know for sure next friday. Dave Salt - gazza414 - 16-09-2005 I'll catch up with you at the Drags this weekend Dave and give you a run down on the salt experience. Re: Salt - gazza414 - 19-09-2005 Nice to meet up with ya Dave and thanks. That drag racing is something else. Re: Salt - Agostini - 19-09-2005 +300 ya man....ofcourse,even in Finland.... 340km/h meterspeed....actually 312km/h digital meter Yeeeess, nice ride had I truly..... 300 plus iN finland - gazza414 - 19-09-2005 Well done Mr Agostini most people dont realise their speedos are optimistic from between 6 to 10% . Re: 300 plus - WARD P - 22-09-2005 I remember a certain trip up Buckets Way on the way to Ginger's Creek. There were about half a doz of us sittin' on the "big three oh oh" in a pack at one stage. Not that hard on a bunch of 'busas. (all responsible riders of course) cheers, Ward. Re: 300 plus - Fords01 - 23-09-2005 Never hit the big 300 but managed 285kph, hit a dip and got air time. The 2 guys in the skyline that I blew away hit there heads on the roof on the same dip at 180kph. But I have done just under MACH1 in an F111.(approx 1150kph) at 200 feet. If thats any consolation! Cheers Fords Re: 300 plus - gazza414 - 24-09-2005 That must be a Buzz. Most of us have flown and have been around 0.85Mach BUTTTTTTTT not at 200ft. It must become very real. I remember holidaying in Scotland and the jet fighters would swoop thru the valleys at very low altitudes and so fast. You take the TOP GUN award Now , how do I become a passenger Re: Low level flying - BUSGO - 24-09-2005 Hey Fords, I'm an ex RAAFie, Fighters and P3Cs. Maritime patrol around the Malacca straits was a real Buzz. Low level passes along the Iron Highway scares the shit out of the crewies when they venture out on deck. We also unwittingly buzzed a village at tree top level near Honiara in the Solomon's about 20 years ago and the poor natives turned white. Busa is the next best thing hey? Rgds BUSGO |
