Anyone know how this pipe compares to the M4 Retro Drag slip ons in terms of volume? The M4s are deep and LOUD but the R55 is meant to be a higher pitched sound - I just want something that doesn't reverberate my eardrums on long rides - and preferably won't need earplugs.

I see www.starcycle-usa.com has it for less than $800USD now...

not sure about the M4 retro , but when i first put my R55 system on it was puting out 113dB at 4500 RPM and it dosnt get loud till about 5000 to 5500 RPM, which is where the power is. it sounds awsome. ive got a shoie XR1000 helmet so i need earplugs for the wind noise but ive got no problem with the exhaust noise.
Be warned if you do a bit of a flyby on a car and ya mates have a window down then they might have a problem with the noise. good luck
