RE: Air horns on a BUSA???? - pan - 04-06-2007 Hmmmm, they don't look like they'll "fit straight on". The first one's not much smaller than what I got, but bulkier looking. Also, they say 136 or 138 dB... My Staintunes are about 128 dB at 4000rpm. The horns are twice as loud... It would be interesting to compare them at the next Annual Convention... RE: Air horns on a BUSA???? - pan - 04-06-2007 Oh, and the horn should be located just above your radiator, if you look through the front, under the nose cone... RE: Air horns on a BUSA???? - DjPete - 04-06-2007 i know now re location thanks Pan. I should have remembered ... Ive had my bloody nose off 3 times! RE: Air horns on a BUSA???? - simmo - 04-06-2007 Quote:I had a claxton horn fited to a car, it certainly got attention and puzzled looks when folks didn't see a vintage car approaching. Unfortunately its' too big and heavy to fit on a Busa. Hang on Chriss we are on vintage 99 ers, bring on the claxton, I could do with extra weight under the front of mine. If you were to mix Pans set up and mine you could fit the musical ones on the Bus We can always ask DJ around sounds like He loves removing & refitting nosecones, RE: Air horns on a BUSA???? - BUSGO - 04-06-2007 If you want loud horns in  a compact setup, go back up the discussion and look at the FIAMM catalogue that I placed a link to. They are perfect and just as loud as the air horns. They are fully electric trumpets with no need for a compressor. These are easily obtainable in Australia. I'm so hoooooooooooooooooooooorny - DjPete - 04-06-2007 BUSGO Wrote:If you want loud horns in  a compact setup, go back up the discussion and look at the FIAMM catalogue that I placed a link to. and how loud compared to the air ones? Around the same db? And do you reckon they would bolt straight on? Don't know why I am even worrying bout this. I never touch my horn....unless Sandra is away for more than 3 nights....then I go wild... RE: Air horns on a BUSA???? - BUSGO - 04-06-2007 Yes DJ, they are loud. By crikey I think I'll finally buy a pair and chuck em on just so I can scare people like I used to on the old Laverda. RE: Air horns on a BUSA???? - mybb - 04-06-2007 can you record it and post a link so that we can be sure they are loud? RE: Air horns on a BUSA???? - DjPete - 04-06-2007 had to do brakes on my wifes car was in speed shop and saw some similar. U reckon they would bolt straight on Busgo? They looked a little bigger... RE: Air horns on a BUSA???? - pan - 04-06-2007 mybb Wrote:can you record it and post a link so that we can be sure they are loud? Oh shucks, okay... ...but you have to turn it up and put your ear really close to your speakers at the same time as going "vroom vroom" in your deepest voice ...if you want to know what it really sounds like. RE: Air horns on a BUSA???? - RaZz0R - 05-06-2007 my horn has stopped working :( very sad - I need a new one - no beep - beep from my bus atm :() when it does work its more like a cat dying RE: Air horns on a BUSA???? - DjPete - 05-06-2007 RaZz0R Wrote:when it does work its more like a cat dyingLeave it...better than the la cucaracha....and orig too!
