I'm pretty sure it's not legal Pete.
I recon your local cops don't know their shit
or can't be arsed to I force it.

I've been through all this (which is why
Mine has the rear guard fitted) the laws I was
quoted were national not Qld.

RE: REVHEADS busa - DjPete - 20-12-2012

RE: REVHEADS busa - Tony Nitrous - 20-12-2012

I'd be interested to see a copy of that law Pete.
So fender illiminators aren't illegal or a ticketable
offence or roadworthy fail in NSW ?

RE: REVHEADS busa - DjPete - 20-12-2012

when i went for rego for the busa with the k6 tail ,never got looked at ,also the old 1100w went to rego every-year like it is in the pictures above as never changed a thing ,il look for the info for you

RE: REVHEADS busa - Tony Nitrous - 21-12-2012

I have a guy who'll roadworthy mine without
a rear guard, but the cops over Mt Glorious
are all set to measure and quote ADR specs.

I'd be interested to see anything from NSW
that gives fender illiminators a legal OK.

so yes, current.

RE: REVHEADS busa - BikerBoy - 21-12-2012

A set up like above is no different to the ducati Diavel.... straight of the showroom floor.

RE: REVHEADS busa - DjPete - 21-12-2012

rather the bike above. More charactor

RE: REVHEADS busa - Tony Nitrous - 21-12-2012

Seen that, was told its not applicable as
Most aftermarket tails are mounted high
and don't sit close to the tyre as the spec
recommends. Fighter tails are fine with a
hugger that follows the line on the tyre
like a new BMW or Ducati but the high tail
on its own isnt acceptable. Well done if you
Can get away with it, but a fighter tail doesn't
meet that spec as its away from the tyre.

A Hugger going over the tyre and down the
rear isn't the same as a high fighter tail which
I why you won't see a production bike with
out some sort of guard 45 degrees from the spindle.
