RE: Velocity stacks - Rainbow7 - 03-07-2010 Took her out today. Seems to have gained a little bit of midrange, which is what I was after. I had them on my old 99er, they do work they rob a little top end power & bring it down lower where you can use it on the street, It used to sound like a super charger sound when I cracked it open ![]() RE: Velocity stacks - Rainbow7 - 03-07-2010 (03-07-2010, 04:45pm)simmo Wrote:Yeah, I use mine on the street, I tend to keep it at fairly high RPM's although nothing above 10,000, so midrange power/torque is what I want. It does sound a little different now.(03-07-2010, 04:24pm)Rainbow7 Wrote: Took her out today. Seems to have gained a little bit of midrange, which is what I was after. RE: Velocity stacks - Rainbow7 - 07-07-2010 Glen came over yesterday and flashed my ECU. I took the Busa out today and got up to 270 before running out of road, but there was still plenty of go left in her. I found that once I hit fifth gear, she takes off like the Enterprise! - Whoosh!, I'm gone. The power now kicks in (hard) at around 7,500rpm. It's like having VTEC. I was accelerating so fast that I thought I was in 6th...but I was still in 5th. RE: Velocity stacks - Rainbow7 - 19-07-2010 I was riding through the Nasho yesterday, following a guy in a ute. I was close enough to him that I was riding in his slipstream, so there was no wind noise or anything, which was nice. Anyway, every time I rolled the throttle on I could hear a whistling noise coming from the airbox. Those FP stacks make it sound like a supercharger! |
