RE: AMCN Busa vs. B-King test - Tony Nitrous - 17-06-2008 Rev004 Wrote:TheShredder Wrote:Gearing for 08 busa & B King are same I'd be interested in finding out too. I have been told all differences are "external". Exhaust, Ram-air, Ignition Mapping, etc etc, and that the internals were the same. Would be good to know. Tony.J. RE: AMCN Busa vs. B-King test - TheShredder - 17-06-2008 Primary drive ratio is listed as 1.596 (83/52) Final ratio is 2.388 (43/18)on both models. They would have only limited the motor though the computer etc. They wouldnt have gone through the trouble of tooling up new gearing etc to slow it down it would be to expensive imo. From what I have been told through the dealer(Action Motorcycles) The B king is geared lower and tuned towards torque with a 9hp difference going the busa's way. As for being like a bandit dunno this bike seems to do stuff different like a really cool blend of sports, naked and rocket ship. RE: AMCN Busa vs. B-King test - busakid08 - 18-06-2008 I also read in a mag the BKing was geared different and tuned diff as well - plus there is a video review on the web somewhere that has a good talk about it too - same tuning/gearing info Both awesome bikes I must say, really warming to th BKing now I have seen a few with decent exhausts on - dont like the headlight though thats the 2nd thing I wouild change immedialty, thoer than that styling is quite nice RE: AMCN Busa vs. B-King test - Tony Nitrous - 18-06-2008 Just don't buy one if you want a decent tank range or anything half as good as a Busa for the pillion. Its funny that they get compaired to a Busa, different markets. But as a Naked bike they are a Monster..!
