24 here and the reason i bought mine now and not a few years down the track is because i love the look 08 and the power and well.........my TLR put both legs out of bed. Got offered a good price for the dead but beautiful TLR so sold her and upgraded. Thats my story and i am sticking to it!!

Hi,
I bought my first Busa in 04 at age 32. Guess couldnt buy one before cause of the fact that I am from a country where the biggest bike makes 18 BHP and is a OHV. I have been riding since I was 11 yr old - the best bike which I owned before the busa was a Yahama RD350. Busa is the KING

48 Been riding 4 about 35 years, on the road for 30 now. First accident this year on the SV. It's replacement was the 'Busa. Always had a hankering for 1 but also a bit daunted by the weight and power. Should have taken the plunge sooner!!!

Busa,s are certainly an old mans bike, thats because we are old school and have real balls and were taught to go hard or go home
how old is old anyway im 44.
This is my first busa and i can say that i never even considered getting a lesser bike. if they'd had busas when i was 18 i would have bought one then

Old man's bike?
Lets just say that considering what you're sitting on top of when you straddle a busa you'd really need to possess large doses of...
- maturity
- wisdom
- self control
- common sense
- varied and lengthy riding experience
- confidence
It's not a function of 'age'. Some riders develop the required skills and attitudes sooner than others.
I can't remember how many times people come up to me and comment on how much they like the busa... they'd love to own one... but they're not confident they can handle it. I'm talking about seasoned riders, not newbies. They describe the bike as 'huge' and 'monstrously powerful' and they all have that lustful / wistful look on their faces. I tell 'em truthfully that all it takes is the stuff I listed above... and a tight rein on the right wrist. I truthfully tell 'em that its really no harder to ride than the average bike but its a hell of a lot more satisfying and fun.
I must have had over 50 people 'sit-on' - just to get a feel for her. They lift her off the side stand, get that far away look in their eyes (they're off doing 300km/h in their heads) lower her back onto the stand with reverence, hop off and say "It's fantastic mate, but too big for me" or something similar. I try to tell them that once she's moving she's light and easy... but no. They've got it in their heads they'll blast themselves to hell within 500 metres. They look at me like I'm just being modest.
