Thank god you were goin as slow as you were,that's a lot of damage.Hope you heal up soon,i can tell you that your pec muscle will take a while to heal.

Hi Jack,
yeah your right, to be honest tho - after this happened we found that most if not all of the pannels have been fixed before - hence so much damage.
I have put down my red/silver before & the damage was no where near this... as in how bad the fairing damage was. but I can fix it all , things are already mostly sorted not & should have her back on the road atleast in the next few weeks with paint job coming shortly after :) there will be a happy ending here somewhere haha :)
That day - even tho I had it with me in SA - I didn't have my back protector - bloody stupid of me to not wear it.

Oh please, talk about exaggeration Mr RaZ... :P
I believe one was likely a slap dash weld / bog job, but the other just looked like it wasn't sanded back properly prior to painting (on a close look it has the red/silver colour scheme)
So that's not exactly most panels.
Also considering the thud i heard as it slammed on the left side then spun, twisting on the fairing, out facing back into the road, then sliding that distance into the kerb, then ricocheting back out into the lane and sliding for a while more. The scratches in the road went for a fair distance. Honestly, i'm not suprised the left fairings have that amount of damage. Also do remember with yours, that it ended on the dirt. Mine never saw anything 'soft'.

Nah, no chance of him getting on my XR, he'll kill it, might let him go hell for leather on the cb that's sitting in my shed and has been for many years. That's a good size for him... Good learners bike :P
