Re: Huh, what ride??? - rocket rod 7777 - 03-10-2005 So no support on my idea?Ok ill just pull my head in and shut up then shall i? Phuck its the phantom! Re: Huh, what ride??? - Bazoomatic - 03-10-2005 I do agree with you . A monthly ride is a great idea. Easy to organise and easy to get approved by the minister for law and finance Cheers, Bazoo. Re: Huh, what ride??? - rev 01 - 03-10-2005 Yep the Captain Mannering cruisers have got the game skun Even old CBR Trakky Dacks would put this mob to shame When you get to that age, the family just regard you as a senile loose cannon so yeah, they're only too happy to see the back of you & your raggedy arse on Sundays Look, I've been in this club for 5 years & I've been on 2 rides, let's not get carried away OK ? You're on the right tram Rocket but it's the big C word that screws everyone Re: Ok ill just pull my head in - GDYUP - 03-10-2005 Lets not go over board............... Just organise it when I'm working my weekends. That way it will take the heat of me when I ride the following weekend....................... Re:back of you & your raggedy arse on Sundays The big "C" word Now that's got me thinking... Cheers, "I love the smell of new Busa members in the morning" Good idea Rocket - Djpete - 03-10-2005 As usual Rocket you're the only one that makes sense around here! Like I've said b4 I'm in for early Sunday rides back mid arvo. The reason I do this is to balance time with family. At least I'm pretty consistant. If someone wants to hook up all you need to do is T Y P E A P O S T. Not hard, almost as easy as riding your bikes. Cheers, Pete Mobile Dj, Web Design, Photography, Bullshit Artist? I bet she does I bet she does Re: secret squirrel hide out - GDYUP - 04-10-2005 Okay we were sprung... I'd tell you all about it guys, but then I'd be breeching the Secret Squirell Ride Club code of conduct. But from what I'm told it was a perla of a day. Weather was brilliant, the twisties were clear of water, bark and gravel...... I did here a story of a winter wobbler comming to greif and a member of the Secret Squirrel Ride Club comming to the rescue. Now the wobbler has to face the music... Cheers, Anon Re: secret squirrel hide out - rev 01 - 05-10-2005 Yeah, he "hit bark" yadda yadda No worries son, cool, that's exactly what I'd say Couldn't have had anything whatsoever to do with punting a cloned Flinstone shit barge auto wobbler through the spur could it ? ............ naaaaaah ! We set him "straight" though Re: secret squirrel hide out - rocket rod 7777 - 05-10-2005 i know nuthing,or what you talking about ,willis! Phuck its the phantom! Re: secret squirrel hide out - RaZ80 - 05-10-2005 Seems I been left out!!! squirrel break away group huh?? While I am off inviting you all to get out to atleast ride a pocketbike coz I think you aint getting out.... you are all off actually doing stuff. Maybe I have not kept up to date, I don't even know if the cafe meets are still happening or not I spent time trying to get rides going else where, but they are all bloody learners and stuff Plus I don't know the roads down here yet!! Don't know where to go!! This SUX Was my B'day last week as well, finally turned 25, might be able to insure the busa now atleast, but didn't know of any rides going BAH! I say.. BAH! "Busa riders always count in three's.... 100, 200, 300" Edited by: RaZ80 at: 5/10/05 11:21 pm Well happy Birthday Raz............... - GDYUP - 06-10-2005 The ride the other day was not planned in advance. (2 days) I was off for the week and Tue was the perfect day. But we got sprung hooting through the hills by another member. Oh to be 25 again................ Drop me an Email at ridingnottalking@hotmail.com Cheers, Re: Well happy Birthday Raz............... - rocket rod 7777 - 06-10-2005 Phuck its the phantom! One day a month ride? - rocket rod 7777 - 09-10-2005 Hmmmm,it seems there are a few people who support this, problem is no one wants to do anything about it? Its a bit of dajevu for me.I posted rides earier in my time here and got luke warm response, and it seem things havent changed. If once a month is to much then maybe once every 6 weeks or 2 months or something!!!!!I was speaking to a few people friday night who are also of the same opinion. What will happen is people will seek alernative groups or clubs to do their rides with unless something happens.Enuff said. Phuck its the phantom! Victorian issues - GDYUP - 09-10-2005 As you know Rocketman I've done the same thing many times over the past years. Only to get a luke warm (at best) response. It's disheartening. It's good that the newer members push the issue. It might get a few others out there again. And heaven forbid they might have fun and meet some goog guys... But some like me have trouble planning that far down the track. Two rosters work wise to juggle, not to mention 3 kids to look after. But if the Club did organise fixed (of sort) rides, I'd do what I always have done. If I'm available I turn up. Been known on many rides to be getting paid. (Recreation leave) If members want to join other clubs (I got ears too Rocketman) good luck to them. It's a free country. I've been a member of the Ulysses Club for about 4 years now. Just never ridden with them. (Yet) I hear the Hangmore Club is a beaut. I suppose when you cater for all bikes you are going to get more interest. I have heard from a reliable source that riders are a bit intimidated by the Busa Club. Lots of Urban Myths out there for some reason??? Still glad your with the Club after selling your Busa Rocketman. As I posted earlier (with no offence intended) it's a hard act to follow. Keeping a Busa on the road. (cost wise it's a killer) Keeping ones licence. (enough on that one) Keeping ones marraige intact. (balancing riding and commitment) And then trying to get all that together to show up as a group for regular rides... I think the Wednesday night meeting has done alot to keep the club going here in Vic. (Pitty I can't always make it. See one of the above reasons ) Riders tend to break away for convenience too. Live in same or close suburbs. Ride the same areas etc... So bottom line is just ride. Even if it's on your own or with one other member. Others will join in if they can make it. I remember you saying years back Rocketman. "Never again"! After all the time and trouble you put into organising a ride. If I remember right it turned pear shaped? Sometimes we need to Email each other as we have done for years Rocket. A public forum is not always the way to go. It's too public. Cheers, "Don't mention the mid week rides"! "I think I got away with it before"!!!! |
