Nemesis, sounds like you may then have plenty time on your hands. If your interested do a Google on Robert Monroe Astral Projection (Travel and Techniques). If in due course you succeed, it will open up a whole new world and dimension for you.

I want to donate my body to science when I die. I won't be in it anyway.
I can remember having an outer body experience, when I was about 7 years old.
I have have a clearer memory of having another outer body experience when I 17. I was listening to meditation tape with my friend and her mother.
I was floating in the air and watching my self on the couch, it was great.
My mum and her friends would hold a seance regularly. One of the house's we lived in for 8 years was Haunted.
Our spirit never dies.

Yes DJ, been there long time ago now, havent tried again in a long while.
Mutha, once youve experienced these things, lifes never quite the same, the mind opens up. Spirits, yea I did "rescue" work some years back, as well as many other things.
Nemesis, yea sure scientist believe its the brains 'shutting down process', only the incredible thing is people around the world all from different cultures and languages more or less experience the same thing with 'near death experience' at least those that came back from the brink and retained the memory to talk about it.
Our brain power and potential is as yet so unexplored. Whilst we may consider ourselves as advanced when it comes to techy stuff, were still pretty backward when it comes to our own brain.

YEH I had one of those outer body exp (aged 22). I was about to walk off a second floor handrail onto some steps made of clouds,and a friend convinced me i would surely die if i did so, but that could of been the 3 tabs of acid i had consumed at his function............

The best idea is to keep going to shrinks and ask them where,when and why you are going to die and then just not turn up.
