RE: New Pipe.......Real Weight Saver - jzbusa - 12-05-2007

I've bought 2, 300mm long slash cut, 3 inch chrome exhaust tips from bursons for about 25 ea. Going to run 2 inch perf tube up the guts & pack them with glass muffler packing. They'll exit just past the foot pegs. Heaps lighter than stock mufflers & mids. Should sound awsome. Soon as i park her for winter ill get stuck into it. But im wondering if glass or wool would be better ? I used glass to repack my std mufflers & seems ok but i think its getting louder over time. Anyone know ?

Don't know any info on wool but yes , the glass burns eventually and it's effectiveness is lost. This has happened on Yoshi's and D&D's with my bikes.

Not really ...the D & D's are a cheaper slip on in the States but if you're looking for strictly a loud rumble for a good price, they're the way to go !Very Happy
