16 up front puts an awful lot of load on your chain. The benefit is only from a standing start and enhanced wheelie performance.

well josh im 130kg and at 43t she would lift easily. 45-46t is to much imo43t is thego mate lots of fun and like ward said still good on the highway.

as been said stick with 17 front. I have 43 rear with Supervox stealth, but frankly cant say the 43 makes such a noticeable diff to me. definaely shorter wheelbase to the point finicky when removing rear wheel and with less playroom.
I plan to go back on 40 at next chain. This DID gold I got is so frikin good its looks like still a while before change. My OEM barely lasted 30k, this one has 37k and still looks new and has hardly stretched if at all. of course i look after it by cleaing it regularly.

I weigh 95kgs and run a 45 rear. never had a problem with the bike lifting (I actually still bounce it to lift in seccond) but as a few people have mentioned it throws ot the speedo by about 10%. not really an issue unless you're considering how many kays the bike is racking up.

Leave your sprockets the way they are and bolt on a turbo no need to worry about any other bike then but if you really wanna change sprockets i ran a 16-42 combo for ages no probs and then went to 17 - 42 and it was still fun your choice mate but be warned the front one is a bitch to get off if you havent got the right tools

Hello again guys, thanks for all the sound advice. I'd love a turbo but bang for buck, i think i'll try simple stuff first....stay with 17 on the front, and try the 43...i'm sure it'll be plenty....i actually don't want the bike to come up too much, but if i want the crazy acceleration i guess thats a given. 17/43 here we come :-) i'll get it done next week and i'll let you know how it goes.

Give me a call mate. Those einsteins at bloody ACTION have told me a 43 tooth is a custom build and will take quite a while to make. HONESTLY! I'm going over there to knock their heads together. It is very different advice to the $45 and 'we have a couple in stock' that you got. Give me a call (phone number on PM) so I can find out who you spoke to.
Actually, I could give Josh (the manager) a call, he seems like a pretty sensible chap.

Heidi if you go to a 43 tooth you will only get about 100kms to a tank of gas :2funny:
bit it may help you at the drags I run a std 17 by 42 on mine :?

Hey simmo, are you meaning she'll only get 100km because she's already getting like 11L/100km? I ran down to like 5.0L/100km on a nice long cruise not long ago....and did from Newcastle back to Canberra on 1 tank. Wondering if you think that will change much.

She asked me to put this up tonight - Are Busa sprockets interchangeable with other bikes? Can we use kwacka sprockets on her Bus? Fucknose!!

None that I've heard of. Even Busa after-market wheels need different sprockets!
