Me too... - Throwdown - 06-10-2005 I've heard all the bad things said about them as well. If I got a twin, it would have to be the petrol guzzling SP2. I'd prefer a Ducati 996 (still the world's most beautiful bike) but that noisy clutch should be on a tractor, and it's still the biggest pain in the arse to keep if you do any decent mileage and have a thin wallet. Heidi...you're a worry! bad handling - DAN85 - 07-10-2005 oh but its such a pretty bike. oh well TLR - ih8cars - 08-10-2005 Bought one of these when they were first released and had it a couple of years, and agree with kawa, junk the rear shock and you will have an excellent bike.they handle well enough untill you start to push hard then they get a bit of a pogo effect happening. No amount of adjustment could get rid of it completely. my 2 cents worth, Cheers Dave. PS.there asking to much for it . Re: TLR - kawasuki - 08-10-2005 I THINK in the pro twins at the creek(2000-1) a good rider got around 1.38's on a TLR . Cheers, Kawasuki TLR - andycool - 10-10-2005 Hi Dan Seeing Pan brought my name into it, I had better reply I had a TLS for about 3 years and yes I loved it , It was Awsome!!! So if you are worried about the handling of the tlr go ride one of tls's. Mine had to be the loudest succer around , full yoshi race exhaust, had lots of work done and boy did it turn heads!!! My kids loved pillioning as we would mono from every set of lights with full sound , I am actually amazed I was never pulled over from noise just breath testing and of cause that dreaded S word. It was great on the track at the creek 260 plus down the straight then tip it in at turn 1 over 200, what a buzz!!! I use to love riding it up the old road and had travelled 3 times to phillip island on it via everywhere (average 3000 klms a trip) It met its grief however after my Dad decided to die new years day 2002 and I had been asked to go to his study a few months later to find some things for mum. Their house is on the central coast and I was forced onto the old road (I wanted the most direct route home) on the way home cause there was a massive traffic jam, its funny I really wasnt in the mood for riding yet every car was moving over for me so I headed into a 45klm corner thinking about dad, went a bit wide and tipped it in , hit some gravel on the edge and I ended surfing down the road on my belly and back and alas the tls decided it would hit the armco upright. The Hyabusa was born!!!!! But you know if I could have two bikes I wouldnt hesitate getting another TLs It was just plain FUN!!!!!!!!: "BLUE and SILVER BLING is the BEST THING!!!!"
