Re: Totally Irresponsible - Beestroyer - 06-09-2005

Not in the NT its not!
I never saw 300, and probably never will. The straights at reefton are too short.

Re: Totally Irresponsible - BUSGO - 06-09-2005

280+ a coupla times but in absolute isolation.

Front end starts to get a little lite on the ground above there and the bike is still pulling hard.

Re: Totally Irresponsible - Diablo - 06-09-2005

Well guys, how about we have the get together in NT next year, no speed limits and a lot warmer!!! Quote:If only she could wash and cook

Here here...

Re: Totally Irresponsible - RaZ80 - 06-09-2005

Busgo, thats pretty weird you say that. When I start getting to 220 and more I feel the busa start suxing its self to the ground, to me it feels way more stable at high speeds then low speed. In fact I think when you are getting to 280 the springs will be fairly compressed.

unless I guess your one of the lighter guys @ 65kg or something lol

Re: Totally Irresponsible - pan - 06-09-2005

...or unless you're lifting your head to have a good look and the air is getting under the front of you creating less downward force and less stability on the front forks (seems unlikely though aerodynamically possible).

Re: Totally Irresponsible - BUSGO - 06-09-2005

Well, I weigh in at about 75kg kitted up in my gear and don't travel too fast with luggage on the bike.
My busa is totally stable but the front wheel skips across the bumps at those sort of speeds.
It would be good to get a nice smooth surface to "unleash the beast"

Re: Totally Irresponsible - CAS3234 - 06-09-2005

Bugger the territory!

How about Lake Gardiner?

300+ all day with time slips, officials, first aid, and spectators.

Maj give us the details.

Dave

Re: Totally Irresponsible - pan - 06-09-2005

I understand the guys drove their bikes to the lake last time, but would it be an idea for some of us to ride there... have a run or two, then ride home? (sort of like a Jindy Trip with a lot of straight line speed at the destination)
