Not quite done too the bike, but done for the bike...

Transport channel so the bike will survive the back of the 4x4 driving to WA

The fit was tight enough to hold bike upright by itself while still leaving enough gap from each rim to not worry about rubbing...

Thats measuring whithin a bee's dick.).nice job.

RE: Who's done what to their bike lately - Shordy - 05-10-2015

Have you tried your new back tyre in the channel mate?

RE: Who's done what to their bike lately - Batfink - 05-10-2015

can't see it being that much different as both 190/50's

RE: Who's done what to their bike lately - Batfink - 05-10-2015

new Q2 rear on..
tyre - $200
fitting - $24.65

scrubbing ride done... all feels good

BTW.... old tyre had open crack to canvas LOL

RE: Who's done what to their bike lately - Shordy - 05-10-2015

There may be a small difference in the tyres width.
I can tell you that the Dunlop I've just put on is 15mm wider overall than the Bridgestone that came off.

RE: Who's done what to their bike lately - Batfink - 05-10-2015

then we will see Lucky, but in the end the channel dimensions were based on the rim not he tyre, if new tire wider then it will fit in tighter LOL if narrower then at least I know side walls of channel will not be rubbing rims and a t-shirt will ensure it if tyre wall is equal to rim.

BUT I will I know there can be up to a 7m deviation in the width dimension (190) but 15mm?? are you sure? I know that a GT tyre will have a lot different arc to a ST tyre due to it's wall hieght
