Re: famous ppl - rev 01 - 26-08-2006

Myself & a couple of work colleagues once met the movie director John Glenn coming out of Collangatta.

We all had a chat to him & afterwards my mate says to me "geez, I wouldn't fly to the moon with that bastard, he knows f*** all about flying "

Does this count?

"Don't ride behind me, I may not lead. Don't ride in front of me, I may not follow. Just ride beside me and be my friend."

Re: Is this famous too? - Sentinel - 28-08-2006

Flemington Racecourse, 1986 at age 20. Having served as an Alter server at St Patricks in Melbourne for 10 years.

The Archbishop decided that as there was a good number of "OLDER" alter servers in Melbourne at that time, and not enough seminarians (guys studying to be priests), and we knew what we were doing, that we could serve mass for the Pope.....And there I was!

Still spins me out today just thinking of it

Re: Is this famous too? - Sentinel - 28-08-2006

What, can't you tell by the photo?

(I'm the one without the skull cap and about 30-40kg lighter back then) "Don't ride behind me, I may not lead. Don't ride in front of me, I may not follow. Just ride beside me and be my friend."

Re: Is this famous too? - Diablo - 29-08-2006

Not even in the same league as some of you guys, but, I've got a phot of me with Spider Bait during the filming of the Black Betty video. Got a few others, worked as an extra on a movie directed by one of the Baldwin's. Can't remember his name, but I met the Japanese guy who made to original movie "The Grudge" as well as the Iron Chef.

Cheers,
Terry

Re: Is this famous too? - ColinT - 29-08-2006

About 20 something years ago, my father won a hot lap of Surfer's Paradise racetrack with Dick Johnson (in the Greens Tuf XE Falcon). Dick didn't end up practising that day so we all went down from Brissy for nothing.

The next day, Dick took my father (in the front) and me and my brother (in the back seat with NO SEATBELTS) for about 6 or 7 very fast, memorable and scary laps of Surfer's Raceway. Regards,
