The last time was the hardest. I don't want to do it again. If I can get away with just the clutch & a bunch of oil n not having to pull the motor again I might do it ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: I want a 1441 cc - bigjay - 09-06-2012 (09-06-2012, 12:02pm)GRUNTMAX Wrote:(08-06-2012, 08:49pm)Maj Wrote: as long as its not like the old red motor "electrical problem" when the con rod gives the starter motor a big hit Stay with it mate. The road least traveled is the one with most rewards. The feeling you have when ya get there makes it all worthwhile ![]() RE: I want a 1441 cc - BLACKZOOK - 09-06-2012 As said above mate - stick with it and you will get there in the end. All the best RE: I want a 1441 cc - GRUNTMAX - 10-06-2012 I still got the gen1 TTS Titanium Clutch Basket installed on primary driven gear assembly. Rebuild the rest with the Brocks gadgets n OEM. Drop the sump n give it an el-cheapo degreaser blast, bung it back in n hope for the best. New oil pump while I'm at it ![]() RE: I want a 1441 cc - Maj - 10-06-2012 They clean out pretty good with the sump off and clutch basket out , blasting may just spread the stuff around, When i melted my clutch pack there were bits everywhere, most was obvious and rinsed out easy but there was a ledge in the gearbox just where the rear of the sump meets it that needs wiping out with a rag, otherwise a pump up garden sprayer with kero gets it all clean in no time and you get to see at least one of the rods up close look for copper in the mess, only place in the motor with copper is the big ends and mains |
