RE: What do they really expect from high-speed, close-proximity racing? - Landmine - 30-10-2011 Jill Singer could probably write on the dangers of knitting as a hobby but no one would read it so she choose racing. She's probably got a big arse and would be happy for everyone to have one. RE: What do they really expect from high-speed, close-proximity racing? - abusa - 30-10-2011 He was'nt kidding. According to 60 Minutes last week, Autralia's most deadly sport is Rock Fishing, killing more than any other sport. http://video.au.msn.com/watch/video/this-week-on-60-minutes/xvfow5p http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/rock-fishing-death-sparks-lifejackets-plea-20100516-v6f8.html It is poor form of Jill Singer to comment on someone's death in this manner. She obviously has no clue. RE: What do they really expect from high-speed, close-proximity racing? - Buhjones - 31-05-2012 For what it's worth, I think there is a bit of truth in what she said. Human beings are a voyeuristic lot and motor sport is just a modern version of the gladiators and the chariot racing. What I disagree with is her assertion that we should be villified for it. An interesting follow up on what the national journalist community thought of her work.... http://www.australiasworstjournalist.com.au/media/newspaper/herald-sun/30-jill-singer-terminated RE: What do they really expect from high-speed, close-proximity racing? - Greeny_SA - 31-05-2012 (30-10-2011, 02:08pm)abusa Wrote: He was'nt kidding. Their dropping like fly's playing it . RE: What do they really expect from high-speed, close-proximity racing? - redkatana - 31-05-2012 Never let the truth get in the way of a good story! There is an inherent chance of mortality in every action that we carry out including watching motor racing from the comfort of your lounge...we display shock when someone dies, because they have actually died, not because they have died as a result of whatever they may have been doing. RE: What do they really expect from high-speed, close-proximity racing? - TheAlchemist - 01-06-2012 Well i'll take a different angle here, She's just blatantly rude, she mentioned all but a few of the entire MotoGP paddock riders and not once in her verbal vomit of a news report did she mention Casey Stoner. That's just un-australian RE: What do they really expect from high-speed, close-proximity racing? - rjw3105 - 07-06-2012 (29-10-2011, 04:23am)bRoWnEyE Wrote:(28-10-2011, 09:57pm)Greeny_SA Wrote: I'm afraid Jill is full of shit . +1 If you don't get it , you'll never get it!!! |
