ok so now the bike starts.. it was a faulty clutch starter switch, by bypassing the switch the bike now starts. so for now thank you to everyone for there replys. But an even bigger thank you to ward for your help and the use of your bike to test my parts on :) & Maj for your help. it is greatly appreciated.

So now im off to canberra in the morning to get a new switch :)

It was strange. Whilst faulty, the clutch needed to be pulled in for the bike to start by bridging the starter relay. But when the clutch micro switch was bridged out, the bike started fine ???? Got me stumped but that was the problem! And Maj picked it at the start of the thread!

Typical, we tried all the expensive scary bits, and it was the easy thing!

Farming keeps going the way it is Pete , i'll do me out of a job

Nothing like salt damage to teach you about the busa electrics, i have to replace the clutch switch every year, there not sealed :(

Yep I'm hearing you on that Greg .................. the Farmers up here have copped a fair floggin from the weather .................. will takes years to re group if they manage to at all Confused

thanks guys just home from canberra with the $20 & now it starts.. woo hoo.. Sorry heidi was only there for 2 hours just enough time for breaky at gus's and pick up the part. will be coming up for an overnighter soon....
