RE: Thoughts on BST wheels - BEAU - 08-11-2010 Im currently getting mine fitted 'BlackBusaLO' so i cant say yet but when i get it back i'll be straight down to Phillip Island to give them a good go. They look sick on your black LO so should look just as sick on mine-im getting the 'Hayabusa Edition' Yoshi R55 4into1 fitted also so it should show them right off, along with my carbon front and rear guards, dash panels and chain guard. And i was'nt aware they came with ceramic bearings either. Thank's. I'll post some befor and after pic's when im done of course... And i 4g's is a nice price 'Kawasuki', but was that shipping from OZ or SA? RE: Thoughts on BST wheels - playswithnitro - 09-11-2010 Carbon Imports have proven to be good people to deal with. Delivering on their promises and within promised time frames. Three good points that not every importer can match. RE: Thoughts on BST wheels - BEAU - 10-11-2010 I agree totally. I can say that Powerbronze have top service and products to. Ive brought a bit of there stuff for my bike and 'Clive' here in melb is really good to deal with period. Ive got a CF front guard from them that one of the line impressions was not as deep as the other on one side and Clive said to take photos of it and write a few lines about the problem so he could pass it onto them and that he would be more that happy to order a new on over from UK-and to put this one on my bike and use it as i see fit until the replacment arrives! The only bad thing i guess would have to be that if they go on you in a fall, they break, then your screwed-They cant be fixed if they break/snap/major crack. I dont know for certain but id bet a nut they'd be alot stronger than cast wheels-but you can repair your metal wheels. RE: Thoughts on BST wheels - BEAU - 01-12-2010 Well there finally on the bike. Dont have time to test them properly till i get to phillip island-two weeks now and counting! They look absolutly amazing, and im sure there performance will match there looks. COME ON PI!!! [/quote] Sorry for the late reply but I've only been looking in the EOI Threads. From what I've heard they used to be prone to micro fractures which ended up in shattering but that issue was address along time ago. I hear they are stronger than magnesium but Im trying to avoid hitting potholes, debrie and coming down hard from wheelies. I got them covered by my insurance incase it gets written off or stolen but now my excess has jumped from $400 to $2500 mind you my bike is now insured to cover $7000 of extras, PCV, quick shifter, auto tuner, full exhaust, rims, rear sprocket, speedo healer, tre-pro and air filter. That excess will halve after my 35th bday. RE: Thoughts on BST wheels - BEAU - 07-12-2010 Who's your insurer? RE: Thoughts on BST wheels - jamdonut - 08-12-2010 They are the dogs. Any rim that lighter than stock is going to make the bike quicker and more manoevorable. Just that my bank manager does agree with me ![]() RE: Thoughts on BST wheels - Chuffed - 13-12-2010 One on the blokes from here that races a zx14 was playing with a gen II lock-up and got it vertical, and i do mean vertical, off the line when he threw the clutch resulting in him filling his pants and buttoning off, the bike came down REAL hard and cracked the resin not the carbon, he contacted BST and told em so were so surprised that he'd managed to damage the wheel they offered to fix it if possible or use that hub in another wheel if necessary all he had to pay for was the freight. Now thats after sale service and confidence in your product. |
