You can make a Mode Selector Switch out of a paper clip.
Simply fold the two ends out and jump the two wires in the plug under the pillion seat with a dust cap over it.

White 4 pin plug with 2 wires and a rubber cap.

Quote:What two wires do you short out, there is about 7 of them WITH A PAPPER CLIP MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT TWO WIRES OR YOU MIGHT JUST BE UP FOR A NEW CPU. best way is to go to dick smith ect buy a fused line with a 5amp fuse just incase you hit the wrong ones or short the papper clip out on your frame

If you use the only plug that works, there are only two wires that run to it.
As, Maj says it is the square white plug with two wires coming in and a dust cap over it. No other plug will work.

WOOPS.
Looks like Bill has deleted his scanned images from photobucket. Has anyone got copies to put back up?

I just cut the plug and twisted the wires together. The bike knows its being watched and behaves itself.I see the fault code as soon as its triggered. If you read the manual enough you,ll know whats wrong straight away.It also gives me a guide whether the tps is still aligned with the coo- at idle.

Thanks for the tip.
Worked with a short bit of wire. Now......... Who know's what "C41" means ! Everything lights up, and bike spin's over but doesn't fire. Its quieter than normal when ignition go's on, so I suspect no fuel fump ? Does C41 inticate anything useful or do I check fuse/relay/pump etc.

C41 = Fuel pump relay signal malfunction.
No signal from the fuel pump relay. Check connections, lead and power source to fuel pump.
